The attack took place on Market Lane, Pembroke, sometime after 6.30 p.m. on Monday. The victim, from Pembroke, said after a personal dispute with the attacker, he then assaulted her, allegedly punching her in the head and face, then kicking her repeatedly until she fell to the ground.
She was found by a member of the public who called Police. The woman was then taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where she was treated for her injuries, which are not thought to be serious.
Police have launched an investigation and anyone with information should call Police on 295-0011.
CITY SHOP HIT IN SECOND RAID CRM City shop hit in second raid An investigation is underway into a number of thefts and break-ins that occurred during the last few days.
Detectives are investigating a second burglary within 24 hours at the Metaphysical Bookshop on Reid Street in the City of Hamilton.
The second theft happened sometime overnight on Sunday and the premises were again entered by force. However, this time the thieves stole 24 compact discs, scented candles, a large quantity of incense and an amount of cash.
The Royal Gazette reported on Tuesday how the same book store was broken into overnight Saturday.
The owner said the shop had been secured on Saturday night and that he returned the following day to find a number of items stolen from the shelves.
Police have not ruled out the possibility that the two thefts could be linked.
A burglar broke into a house in White Sands Road, Paget, overnight on Sunday by forcing a window. Once inside, he stole cash from a wallet in the bedroom.
A significant amount of cash was also reported stolen from a purse in a Broome Street residence in Sandys. The victim said she left the house for 15 minutes on Saturday afternoon, but when she returned, she found someone removed the cash from inside.
And an amount of change was reported stolen from the Buckaroo Restaurant, near to the junction of Serpentine Road and Dundonald Street in Hamilton.
The culprit broke into the property by smashing a window, and then removed the change from a cash register overnight Sunday.

PASSENGER TREATED FOR INJURIES AC Passenger treated for injuries A late night drive could have turned very ugly on Sunday night when two people in a grey Peugot car escaped injury after their car flipped.
The accident took place in the eastbound lane of North Shore Road, Pembroke and when Police arrived the driver appeared uninjured.
The passenger was tracked down at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he had a cut to his leg and injuries to his neck which are not thought to be life threatening.
Fire causes $30,000 damage Fire Investigators have begun sifting through a room in a Tucker's Town Road home to find the cause of a structural fire there late on Sunday. An estimated $30,000 damage was caused in the fire which caused "severe damage'' to a bedroom around 11 p.m. Eleven firefighters in five trucks went to the home.
