The 27-year-old St. George's woman was raped early yesterday morning by a man whom she claims to have known.

She told officers that she had spent some time talking to the man and was driving him to his home, when he pulled her into his apartment. There, he threatened her and then sexually assaulted her. Her screams were heard by neighbours and the Police were called.

Officers are appealing for any residents in the vicinity of Red Coat Lane, St.

George's, who may have heard or seen anything suspicious between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. yesterday to contact them on 297-1122.
