assaulted her three times on the same day.

In the first instance, the woman told Police the man slapped her twice on her face after entering her house without her consent.

She said the man attacked her again an hour later on Church Street where he slapped her in the face, knocked her down, and kicked her in the stomach and back.

The third assault took place outside of a local entertainment establishment on Queen Street where the woman told Police the man punched her in the face.

Police investigating the matter.

Police were also looking into reports by two Pembroke men who claimed each was assaulted by the other.

They were arrested on separate matters last Tuesday.

The men -- a 33-year-old and a 20-year-old who shared the same accommodation -- told Police that each had hit the other with a long stick causing a minor injury to one of them.
