The woman, who has not been named, suffered internal injuries, a fractured hip and a bruised face.
The accident happened on North Shore Road close to the Perfume Factory at 10 a.m. yesterday and left the victim trapped in her wrecked car.
The male driver of the truck was not injured but his vehicle was damaged. Last night, the woman was in a stable condition. Firefighters were called to cut the woman from her vehicle and traffic was diverted around the scene for several hours -- causing long delays. Police still investigating the incident, which happened as the car was being driven west and the truck in the other direction.
