Victim Derricka Brangman, was treated in the hospital's emergency department, it was claimed.

Prosecutor Sgt. Ken James said Brangman "suffered burning in her eyes''.

Single mother-of-one Thompson, of St. Monica's Road, Pembroke, admitted assault.

The Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp ordered a social inquiry report and adjourned sentence until January 11. She granted Thompson $300 bail.

Sgt. James said the incident occurred on July 11 at a property in King's Gate Lane, Pembroke.

Brangman was confronted by a group of people at the property.

She was punched and kicked, suffering a bump on the head. Clorox was also thrown in her face.

Mr. Wilhelm Bourne, defending, said Thompson believed Brangman had been rumour-spreading, and interfering in her family affairs.

Mr. Bourne said Thompson had thrown the Clorox in the darkness. She had not hit Brangman.
