Wedco is seeking to build as many as 100 new homes at the mouth of Dockyard, according to a special development order (SDO) put forward last week.

The proposed project, referred to as Victoria Place Rental Homes, would include a maximum of 45 three-bedroom dwellings, 40 two-bedroom dwellings and 15 studio apartments.

An SDO for the project was submitted on September 27 and appeared in the Official Gazette on Friday, with the West End Development Corporation listed as the applicant.

The residences would be built on Ireland Island South in Sandys on a 6.28-acre piece of land between Cochrane Road and Cockburn Road. According to the SDO, buildings at the site would peak at three stories tall.
