Air, ship arrivals fall again
arrivals by air and cruise ship both fell.
According to Government figures, for the seven days from September 18 the number of people arriving by air fell to 8,594 from the previous week's total of 9,405.
Over the same period, 4,677 visitors arrived by cruise ship, a fall of 932 from the previous week's total of 5,609.
The total number of tourists arriving between September 18 and September 24 was 13,306, a drop of 1,760 on the previous week.
However, the figures paint an even darker picture for the year so far, showing a huge drop in the total number of people coming to the Island.
From January 1 to September 24, 298,523 people arrived by air -- a fall of eight percent compared with the same time last year.
Cruise ships have fared better, but the numbers arriving by ship have also fallen to 139,808 during the year so far compared with 142,046 over the same time last year.
In total 438,794 visitors have come to Bermuda this year, a drop of more than six percent, or 28,764, from the first nine months of last year.
