Capital G donates $10,000 to the Sunshine League
The Sunshine League received a cheque for more than $10,000 from Capital G – just in time for Christmas. Funds were donated by customers, and the bank matched the amount to a total of $10,258.44 as part of its Holiday Giving Back Programme.
Sunshine League executive director Denise Carey said: "Capital G and its staff's generosity have helped The Sunshine League bring a merry Christmas to our residents at a time when the holidays are a difficult time for some of the children. We are very grateful and I would like to thank Capital G again, for supporting The Sunshine League."
Capital G Bank chairman James Gibbons said: "Capital G is pleased to again assist the children of The Sunshine League.
"As Bermuda's local bank we have a vested interest in our community and we believe that Sunshine League's positive reinforcement with the children will play a role in helping them become productive citizens within Bermuda's community."
Mr. Gibbons continued: "Capital G is thankful for all donations received during these uncertain financial times and to our sister company, First Atlantic Commerce, and Donations.bm for partnering with Capital G to facilitate fee-less online donations for The Sunshine League."
Earlier this month, 13 Capital G staff members spent time with The Sunshine League's children and support staff, helping them to decorate the home for the Christmas holidays.
