Celebrate Michael Jackson at free block party tomorrow
Michael Jackson fans are invited to head to a block party in Hamilton this weekend — on what would have been the late King of Pop's 51st birthday.
The Hott 107.5 event — entitled "It doesn't matter if you're black or white" — is from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) on Union Street.
It has been organised by Kristy Burgess, also known as Hott presenter Miss Thang, who is a huge Jacko fan, and her Phenomenal Women's Association
She said: "Michael was childlike. He was filled with so much love and he didn't care if you were sick, underprivileged or where you lived. None of that mattered to him and this Saturday, we will mimic his loving spirit by having fun and giving back to the community."
The free party will feature a Michael Jackson impersonator, Warwick Gombeys, singer Amy Bento, DJs Craig (Bubbles) Darrell, Queenie Mon and Ninja Cutty, games, face painting, a puppet show, a raffle, apple bobbing, a hula hoop competition, fun castles and refreshment stalls.
The first 50 seniors to attend will be fed for free from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
