Nature walk; A cross section of people came out for the National Trust Annual nature walk at Spittle Pond where people got to learn more about Bermuda's fauna and natural history.
The Bermuda National Trust hosted its annual Children's Nature Walk at Spittal Pond this week.More than 300 children turned out on Tuesday for a tour of the pond, guided by volunteers from the Aquarium, the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, the Parks Department and the Botanical Gardens.Different aspects of the pond flora and fauna, birds, geography were highlighted by Ruth Thomas, Steve Burgess, Nick Barton and Rob Chandler.

Student leaders from CedarBridge Academy, Saltus Grammar School and Whitney Institute Middle School also helped.
"The turn out and enthusiasm was encouraging and luckily we had fabulous weather," said a Trust spokesperson. "It would be great to be able provide more free educational events like this for children it is so important to have events that include exercise and learning for young minds."
