A love story that stretches more than 400 years is returning to the stage today and tomorrow.
The play 'Emancipation: A Love Story' received a standing ovation at its premiere as part of the Emancipation Day festivities held at Botanical Gardens last month.
Written by Kim Dismont Robinson, the play tells the story of a black couple beginning in the days of slavery and concluding in modern times.
The play will be performed at the Berkeley Institute today and tomorrow at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
