Rubber dinghy sparks alert

Five young men took a rubber dinghy out a little too far for people's comfort yesterday.

Members of the public called Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre and 911 when they saw the boys floating out near Black Watch Pass.

A Police marine boat went out to pick up the boys and bring them safely ashore.

An officer at the centre said: "The Marine Police officer had a word with the boys and explained to them why they shouldn't go out that far. I am sure they won't do it again."
