Legendary entertainer Freeman (King) Trott will be inducted into the Bermuda Musicians and Variety Artists Hall of Fame tomorrow.
Organisers Dale Butler, the Government MP, and musician Wendell (Shine) Hayward say all Mr. Trott's students and fellow percussionists are invited to bring along their drums to perform at the event at 97, St. John's Road, Pembroke, at 7 p.m.
Mr. Trott — a popular conga and bongo player, guitarist and singer — has been playing music for more than 60 years alongside performers such as Red Smith, Charlie Berry, Hubert Smith and Norma Brown in venues including the Savoy nightclub in the Victoria Lodge Hotel, the Jungle Room and Princess hotels.
