As the summer travel season starts to pick up, the Department of Airport Operations has reminded travellers to arrive at the L.F. Wade International Airport early as well as prepared.

With flights being more crowded over the summer months, it means US Customs and Border Protection staff deal with more people. To ensure the flights leave on schedule, the check-in desk closes one hour before departure.

Anyone not checked in before the desk closes risks missing the flight.

To make sure people catch their flights, the Department is advising travellers to get to the airport at least two hours before departure.
