Gombey House housekeeper post advertised
Government is advertising for a replacement cook at Premier Ewart Brown's private home.
The $60,000-plus house manager post carries a host of duties to ensure housekeeping requirements are maintained to the highest standard at Dr. Brown's 'Gombey House'.
Civil Service head Kenneth Dill said the previous incumbent — who was given the job last October — had resigned a few months ago for personal reasons.
An advert in the Bermuda Sun says the applicant must be an excellent cook, willing to clean, experienced at formal entertaining and have very good administrative and valet skills.
Experience in purchasing and book-keeping, resourcing multiple suppliers and management of pantries, closets and storage areas is also required.
The advert says the job — which pays $35 an hour, for a minimum 37-and-a-half hours a week — is for the day-to-day management of the household and the delivery of services necessary to maintain the property in Smith's.
