Harvest Investment Holdings website taken down

The website of Andre Curtis' under-investigation company Harvest Investment Holdings has been removed. It comes after the site was reported to be falsely claiming it was licensed by Bermuda Monetary Authority to provide a series of services.

Harvest Investment Holdings is one of a number of respondents in a Montana State Auditor's Office investigation into a worldwide securities fraud said to have conned individuals out of huge sums of money.

Mr. Curtis, the branch chairman of Premier Ewart Brown's Progressive Labour Party constituency, is set to have his own name added to the list of respondents after investigators unearthed new documents showing he is more involved in the scheme than he claims.

Harvest Investment Holdings's website offered an array of services including "investment management", claiming that it employs fully certified investment managers; "insurance/reinsurance"; "accounting"; "legal processing"; and "other services".

It stated the firm is "fully licensed to provide these services in accordance with the laws of the Island of Bermuda".

However, on Monday web-based publication Offshore Alert reported that Harvest Investment Holdings is not licensed to provide investment, insurance broking, or any other services that require a licence by Bermuda Monetary Authority.

Yesterday, it emerged the website had been taken down.

Under the alleged scheme, at least six victims are said to have parted with substantially more than $1 million between them after being promised returns of up to 400 percent.

Mr. Curtis' name will be added to respondents including convicted fraudster and money launderer Daniel Two Feathers and his business partner Shawn Swor, their DTF Consulting Group Trust, DTF Consulting Group, TLT Holdings Corporation of Montana and Harvest Investments Holdings.

His faith-based tourism contract with the Department of Tourism is also being investigated by Auditor General Larry Dennis. Mr. Curtis has repeatedly refused to answer questions about what happened to hundreds of thousands of dollars allocated to Harvest Investment Holdings for that project.

Dr. Brown and the PLP have so far not commented on the allegations faced by Mr. Curtis.

PLP chairman David Burt says it is a private matter, while Dr. Brown's Press Secretary Glenn Jones says it is nothing to do with Government.

Montana State Auditor's Office is appealing for anyone who has had dealings with Mr. Curtis or Harvest Investment Holdings which may be connected to the case to get in touch on 1-406-444-2040. Montana is three hours behind Bermuda.
