The Bermuda Heart Foundation (BHF) has appointed a new Executive Director.

Simone J. Barton, who has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the corporate world and a wealth of knowledge in innovative management and design for special events production, has been appointed to the post.

Ms Barton will help lead, guide and support new heart health initiatives by partnering with a diverse collection of businesses and charitable organisations, as well as with government and community leaders.

Her focus will include community education and improving heart health awareness. Ms Barton joins the Foundation from the Bank of Bermuda, where she worked as a Premier Relationship/Wealth Manager.

Prior to the Bank of Bermuda, she ran her own production company producing commercials, TV shows, fashion layouts and destination management programmes. Ms. Barton is also a motivational speaker and author.
