The man was spotted drifting in waters off Ordnance Island just after 5.30 p.m. when the distress signal went out.

And a Harbour Radio official said a boat picked up the man in Convict Bay, returning him to the jetski.

The spokesman added: "The man was not hurt and he actually got back on the jetski and rode off.''
