Loiterers get court warning

Raymond Baptiste, of Baptiste Builders Supply, Warwick, put up a "no trespassing'' sign on his property because of a continual nuisance from loiterers who scrawled graffiti.

Police on a routine check later found six youths sitting on the wall of the property and arrested them, the court heard.

Warwick residents Gladwin Burgess, 17, Keniel Ingham, 20, Jody Bulford, 21, Ryan Ball, 19, and Edward Smith, 21, all admitted entering the property without permission, along with Pembroke resident Jason Martin, 18.

After hearing they had no previous convictions, senior magistrate the Wor.

Will Francis gave them six-month conditional discharges "as a first warning''.

"The next batch will not get off so lightly,'' he said. "I will take it that the word is now out.''
