Maintenance work to start at Bull's Head car park

Sections of Bull's Head car park will be closed for maintenance beginning on Friday, the Corporation of Hamilton has announced.

It is anticipated the work will last a few months.

Secretary Ed Benevides said: "Routine maintenance on Bull's Head will begin on March 12. Work crews will sandblast, scrape and repaint all the steel in the building. The bulk of the work will be carried out during the evenings and on weekends. However, there will be times when sections of the car park will be closed and motorists will not be allowed to park in certain areas."

He added: "It is important that all cars that will be parked on the second level on Friday, March 12 are removed by 7 p.m."

Mr. Benevides said that the Corporation of Hamilton will keep the public up to date with the maintenance schedule through posts on www.cityhall.bm, and in the print media. The Saturday morning Farmers' Market will not be affected by the work.

"We hope to complete the project within ten to twelve weeks. We anticipate that by the beginning of June, parking in Bull's Head will return to normal," Mr. Benevides said.
