Man admits sexually touching girl, 11
A man pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl when he appeared in Magistrates' Court.
Jason Sinclair Liburd, 37, of no fixed abode, admitted that he squeezed the victim's bottom, on July 10.
The court heard that on that day, the victim and her brother were riding their pedal bikes when Liburd invited the children in to his family's house to see some kittens.
After playing with the kittens, the victim's brother left the house and Liburd invited the young girl into a bedroom to see some pictures.
Liburd then asked her to sit on his lap and proceeded to touch her bottom as well as lift up her shirt, the court heard.
Liburd prevented the girl from leaving the room, however, the victim protested and began to cry. After leaving the house the girl told her brother what had happened and he called their mother.
Liburd pleaded guilty to the offence, but said he only hugged the girl. He has been previously convicted of having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under 16.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered a social inquiry report for Liburd, who will be remanded in Police custody until his September 2 sentencing date.
