A man charged with robbing a man of $56,518 outside the Transport Control Department (TCD) on Friday appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Tashon Bean, 22, of School Lane, Pembroke was not required to enter a plea as the matter will be heard in Supreme Court.
He is alleged to have joined with another person not before the court to rob Gary Wilson of the money, which belonged to the Government — and in order to do so used force on Mr Wilson.
Mr Bean was unrepresented when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner. He was remanded in custody and will appear for mention on November 29.
According to Police, the alleged theft took place just before 4.45pm on Friday in the TCD parking lot on North Street, Pembroke.
