Man charged with causing grievous bodily harm
A 25-year-old was yesterday charged with an attack that left a man requiring medical treatment overseas.
Aaron Wayne Eversley, of Devonshire, was accused of wounding Christopher Vonhassell, 33, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The incident is believed to have taken place at a Margarita Lane, Devonshire home around 7.30 a.m. on Monday.
Mr. Vonhassell was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital suffering from head injuries. He was flown to Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital for medical treatment and later released.
Eversley was not required to enter a plea in Magistrates' Court yesterday as the charge must be heard in the Supreme Court.
Magistrate Juan Wolffe released him on $5,000 bail with a surety of the same amount and ordered him to return to court on September 28 for a mention.
