A Pembroke man was yesterday charged with sheltering Alvone Maybury while he was on the run.

Kim Knights was charged in Magistrates' Court with harbouring the escaped prisoner in a shed in Pembroke on July 27.

The 26-year-old was also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice by giving false personal details to a Police Constable.

Knights, of Secret Lane, elected for his case to be heard in the Supreme Court. He was not required to enter a plea for either offence.
