Motorcyclist breaks ribs

A motorcyclist had his ribs broken in a collision with a taxi this week.Police say the accident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on North Shore Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Loyal Hill Road."It appears that the motorcycle was travelling east on North Shore Road and the taxi was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided," said a Police spokesperson.

A motorcyclist had his ribs broken in a collision with a taxi this week.

Police say the accident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on North Shore Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Loyal Hill Road.

"It appears that the motorcycle was travelling east on North Shore Road and the taxi was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided," said a Police spokesperson.

"The rider of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old Hamilton Parish man, sustained injuries to his head and broken ribs. He was taken to [King Edward VII Memorial Hospital] via ambulance for treatment."

The spokesperson said that the taxi driver, a 52-year-old Devonshire man, was not injured.
