The new partner, Tonesan Amissah-Furbert, was educated in both Ghana and England.
She studied law at the London School of Economics and graduated in 1987 with a LLB.Hons.
Mrs. Amissah-Furbert was called to the Bar in England in 1988 and to the Bermuda Bar in 1992.
She joined Appleby, Spurling & Kempe in 1989 and practised corporate and commercial law.
Since then, she became a member of the firm's Securities and Financial Services Team.
Mrs. Amissah-Furbert lives in Devonshire with her husband, Malcolm, and two daughters, Leah and Erika.
