Pembroke man injured in fight
A man was chopped in the head during a fight at a residence in Pembroke late on Friday night but refused to report the matter to the Police.
Police were called to the assault around 11.10 pm, which took place at a house in Happy Valley Road, near the junction with Deepdale Road West.
The Royal Gazette understands that it came about after an argument between several men, which may have been fuelled by alcohol.
A Police spokesman said: "It appears that a dispute took place between several men who are known to each other at the premises and then a physical altercation took place between two of the men, with one of the men brandishing a bladed article.
"As a result, a 32-year-old Paget man sustained a laceration to the head. He was treated at KEMH and released.
"The suspect, a 38-year-old Pembroke man, was arrested and the bladed article seized; however, the victim declined to make a formal complaint regarding the matter and requested no further Police action. The suspect was subsequently released."
