Police hunt for three suspects following city park assault
Police are searching for three persons believed to have assaulted a man in broad daylight in Par-la-Ville Park on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment for a head wound as a result of the attack.
Officers are now looking for three suspects – a 5ft tall woman of large build; a light brown-skinned male of slim build with facial hair; and a dark-skinned male with a goatee.
Said a Police spokesperson: "It appears that around 2.15 p.m. that day the victim, a 21-year-old Sandys parish man, was walking through the park when he was approached by two young men and a young woman. The two male suspects assaulted the victim, with one of the assailants using an object to strike the Sandys parish man on the head. All three suspects then made good their escape."
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing. Witnesses, or anyone with information, are encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
