Probe into Dellwood bombing continues
Police confirmed last night that they are continuing to investigate an explosion involving a homemade bomb at Dellwood Middle School on Monday.
A Police spokesman said a 14-year-old boy was the subject of the inquiry.
"A Police investigation is being carried out," he told The Royal Gazette. "At the end of the investigation, we'll determine if it is enough to warrant an arrest."
Officers attended the North Street, Pembroke school at about 2.45 p.m. on Monday, after a report of a suspicious explosive device.
Police said it was believed to be a "primitive, homemade item" containing household chemicals.
No one was injured during the explosion, which is alleged to have been caused by an M3 student, and the school was not evacuated.
The Ministry of Education said it was awaiting a report on the incident from the school.
Principal Jeanette Musson did not return calls from this newspaper yesterday.
