RG looks at `lost generation'

young black males feel angry at and alienated from mainstream society.

RG staff writer Elizabeth Harvey and Royal Gazette reporter Patrick Bean explore the roots of unrest and why so many seem caught in a vicious cycle of drugs and crime.

In the article, `A Lost Generation', they talks to experts about the challenges facing black males.

Also in RG , free inside tomorrow's Royal Gazette , models in the annual swimsuit had to share the limelight with some other beautiful creatures -- dolphins.

The magazine used the new Dolphin Quest attraction at the Southampton Princess as the location for the 1997 shoot and the facility's seven dolphins proved as eager to get in on the picture as the models.

Said RG managing editor Chris Gibbons: "They just loved the attention. We were amazed at how friendly and intelligent they were.'' Added Mr. Gibbons: "It was a tricky shoot for our photographer, Simone Maranzana. While the dolphins love attention, they get bored quickly so we were only able to shoot with the dolphins for about an hour during their morning training session.''
