The Upper House will table several items sent from the House of Assembly, including a bill to allow for hi-tech video court appearances in Magistrates' Court for routine matters by prisoners from Westgate Correctional Facility.

Also to be tabled are various proposals for the sale and acquisition of land -- including a $2.6 million bid to buy land at the junction of Court and Church streets, earmarked for a new Police station/courthouse.

But the rules of Senate forbid the debating of items sent to them on the day they are tabled.
