Senator is looking to start airline service Gombey Air
Senator Marc Bean is behind plans to bring a new airline to the Island, Gombey Air.
Last week a team from SkyAdvantage, an international firm providing software to small airlines, visited the Island to "start training for Gombey Air" according to the company's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
While in Bermuda they held a "company BBQ", visited the L.F. Wade International Airport and posed for photos with the Senator.
"We have not received authority/approval yet, so I'm really not seeking to comment about it, until I know when I can deliver," Sen. Bean said yesterday.
The Register of Companies does not have a Gombey Air listed. It does have a Gombey Airlines Ltd. listed, which was incorporated on May 7, 2004 but the Register of Companies said the registration has since been cancelled.
Airport general manager Aaron Adderley did not respond for a request for comment yesterday.
