SPCA noise irks resident

Vincent Tuzo, who lives near the Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty for Animals shelter, said he and his grandchild have been awakened by barking dogs.
Despite shutting his windows and turning up his television, Mr. Tuzo said he can still hear the noise.
He went as far as contacting members of the Progressive Labour Party Government and Opposition United Bermuda Party MPs. But Mr. Tuzo said nothing had been done.
Yesterday, SPCA chairman Andrew Madeiros confirmed Mr. Tuzo has complained to the society, but he said there was nothing they could do.
Dr. Madeiros said normally an inspector would be there at night to keep the dogs quiet. But the inspector's residence is being renovated and the inspector is not living there.
