the indictable offence of robbing and assaulting a man.

The four defendants, Edmund James Lightbourne, 16, of Berkeley Road in Pembroke, Urian Keon Dickerson, 17 of Bay Lane Sandys, Akil Iabrile Jones, 18, of Cambridge Road, Sandys, and Dajoine Macdonald Smith, also of Cambridge Road, Sandys were not required to enter a plea as their offence is an indictable matter, and will be tried in the Supreme Court.

The youths were charged with robbing their victim of $27 in cash, and attacking him and causing grevious bodily harm.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner appeared amazed that the young-looking boys were old enough to appear in his court, and he explained to them that they did not have to enter a plea, but would face a judge and jury in the Supreme Court.

Attorney Renee Foggo represented Lightbourne, Patrick Doherty represented Jones, and duty council Larry Mussenden stepped in and represented Dickerson and Smith.

Each defendant was granted bail in the amount of $1,000 with one surety for a like amount, and the case was adjourned for mention in plea court on March 20.
