Two arts-related scholarships worth $2,000 now on offer
Scholarships of $2,000 are now available for young people involved in the arts.
A $1,000 scholarship initially offered by the Bermuda 2009 Steering Committee was matched by the Bermuda Society of Arts for the youth performing arts and writing competition.
In order to enter the competition, the art must embrace or be inspired by the 400th anniversary theme, 'celebrating Bermuda and her people'.
The work must also be new and created any time from September 2000. The contest is open to Bermudians and residents of five or more years, both professional and amateur.
Presentations can be visual arts, writing, dance and or music.
The best work in each category will be displayed at the Premier's Gala, an event celebrating Bermuda's 400th anniversary, on Saturday, November 21.
