Two injured after car and two bikes collide in Devonshire

Two men were injured in a road accident at the junction of Montpelier Road and Happy Valley Road in Devonshire.

Police were called to the incident after a car and two auxiliary cycles collided shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

According to officers, the cycles were traveling north on Montpelier Road when they attempted to overtake the car, which had stopped to let another car out of Happy Valley Road.

As a result, the cycles collided with the car exiting Happy Valley Road.

The rider of one auxiliary cycle, a 16-year-old male from Devonshire, sustained abrasions to his left hand and later complained of back pain.

The rider of the second cycle, a 16-year-old male from St. George's, sustained abrasions to his arms and legs.

The driver of the car, a 47-year-old Southampton man, was not injured.

The car received extensive damage to its front. The auxiliary cycles were also extensively damaged.
