February 5.

Police raided the Union Street residence of 34-year-old Tanya Symonds on October 7, said Police prosecutor Sgt. Peter Giles.

They found a variety of drug paraphernalia in her bedroom chest of drawers, including a sewing needle, razor blade, straws, a bottle and a drinking glass, all stained with drug residue, Sgt. Giles said.

Symonds admitted she used some of the items to smoke crack, he said. As well as admitting possession of the items to take illegal drugs, Symonds pleaded guilty to knowingly permitting illegal drug use in her residence.

The single, unemployed woman is receiving counselling, the court was told.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis asked for a social inquiry report.

Symonds was released on $500 bail.
