Woman injured in cycle pile-up

A Warwick woman sustained a broken collar bone in a pile-up involving three cycles.Two motorcycles were travelling east on South Road and an auxiliary cycle was travelling in the opposite direction, when the accident occurred.According to Police, the crash took place at 8.45 a.m. Tuesday at the junction of South Road and Collectors Hill in Smith's.

Two motorcycles were travelling east on South Road and an auxiliary cycle was travelling in the opposite direction, when the accident occurred.

According to Police, the crash took place at 8.45 a.m. Tuesday at the junction of South Road and Collectors Hill in Smith's.

Said a media spokesperson: "The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 24-year-old St. George's man, was not injured. The rider of one of the eastbound motorcycles, a 23-year-old Southampton woman, sustained pain to her neck and the left side of her body while the other motorcyclist, a 27-year-old Warwick woman, sustained pain to her right shoulder and a broken collar bone.

"All three vehicles received moderate damage."

An investigation into the accident is underway.
