Young women injured in separate bike crashes
Two teenagers were injured when the rider of a motorcycle lost control of a bike in Sandys.
The pair were travelling along Somerset Road near the junction with Cambridge Road when the accident happened at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
A Police spokesman said the rider, an 18-year-old woman "lost control" and the motorcycle toppled over.
The woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with an injured back and hip. The passenger, a 17-year-old woman, was also treated for injuries to her right foot.
A hospital spokeswoman said both women, from Pembroke, had since been discharged.

The accident took place near the junction of Court Street and Church Street at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
A Police spokesman said: "It appears that the car was exiting the HSBC Bank of Bermuda Church Street branch and the motorcycle was travelling south on Court Street when the vehicles collided.
"The rider of the motorcycle and her passenger, a-19-year-old Pembroke woman and an 18-year-old woman respectively, were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of suspected back and leg injuries."
The car driver, a 39-year-old man from Pembroke, was uninjured. A hospital spokeswoman said both women had been discharged.

The break-in took place at a house in South Road on Thursday. A Dell laptop, jewelley and other personal items were taken.
Police are also investigating a break-in at a house in Roberts Avenue, Devonshire, on Thursday morning. A quantity of jewellery was stolen.
