Assistant Police Commissioner, two new Chief Inspectors named
Two Police Inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Chief Inspector.
New Chief Inspectors in the Community Policing Division, Sean T. Field-Lament and Darrin E.M. Simons, were both promoted in the Community Policing Division.
Chief Inspector Field-Lament, a Bermudian, has served with the Police since 1985 in several positions, most recently as Acting Chief Inspector.
He has also represented both the Police and Bermuda at rugby.
Chief Inspector Simons, also a Bermudian, began working with the Bermuda Police Service in 1994 after spending time working in the US and Canada.
He worked as an electrical contractor on the Island before coming to the Police.
He has completed several training courses, and is currently completing his Master's degree from Royal Roads University in British Columbia, Canada.
Also promoted is the man the Bermuda Police Service credited with developing a strategy to modernise the intelligence-led policing on the Island was recently promoted to Assistant Commissioner.
New Assistant Commissioner of Police Paul M. Wright, who earlier this year was given command of the Serious and Organised Crime Division, was promoted from Superintendent.
He has served with the Bermuda Police Service since 1985 in a wide variety of postings, ranging from Community Policing to Special Branch.
Before coming to the Island, Assistant Commissioner Wright served with the Humberside Police in England for six years.
