"It appears that the rental cycle was travelling south on Paynters Road and the car was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided.

"The rider of the rental cycle, a 25-year-old Baltimore woman, sustained a shoulder injury and a laceration to her ankle. The driver of the car, a 46-year-old St. George's woman, was not injured."

The rental cycle was extensively damaged in the collision, but the car received only moderate damage.

The theft took place in North Shore Road near the Dub City variety store at 6.15 a.m. on Thursday.

The 20-year-old woman from Paget was travelling west on her motorcycle when the man snatched the bag and drove off. She was uninjured but lost cash, a BlackBerry cell phone and personal items in the incident.

A Police spokesperson said officers are trying to trace a slim black man who wore a grey jacket, jeans and who rode a dark grey and silver motorcycle.

In the latest break-ins, burglars got away with a quantity of jewellery from a house in Sound View Road, Sandys, on Thursday morning.

An Apple iPhone, BlackBerry cell phone and cash were also taken from a house on Lagoon Drive in Paget, in a separate incident.

Also on Thursday morning, Police attended a report of a burglary at Sung Sing Restaurant, St. George's. The offenders got away with cash and two cartons of Marlboro cigarettes.
