Crash biker flees
An auxiliary cycle driver fled the scene of an accident after colliding with a car on Spice Hill Road in Warwick, Police said.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged in the accident, which occurred just before 9am on Saturday.
Officers were unable to find the driver of the bike. The driver of the car — a 33-year-old Pembroke woman — was not injured in the crash.
Drivers arrested on drink-drive suspicion
Four people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving over the weekend.
A 25-year-old man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance after his van struck a hedge on Harbour Road at 3.15am on Saturday.
The Warwick resident was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, and taken into custody.
According to Police there were seven damage-only collisions on the road and a further seven resulting in injuries over the weekend.
A Smith's resident was unhurt in a single-vehicle accident in Devonshire at 7.15am yesterday.
A 40-year-old man was driving an SUV when it struck a wall near Dock Hill on North Shore Road.
According to Police the driver was not injured however the SUV received extensive front-end damage.
