Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, will induct the Minister of Finance as its first Honorary Alumnus tomorrow night.

Deputy Premier Paula Cox will be presented with this unique honour at a dinner at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club at 7.30 p.m.

Dalhousie has long been host to a number of Bermudian students, which reflects the relationship the country has with the province of Nova Scotia.

In attendance will be President of Dalhousie University, Dr. Tom Traves, who said: "We are delighted to confer this distinction on Minister Cox.

"Minister Cox exemplifies the spirit of Dalhousie which is to seize and enact opportunities that inspire in her life and work. At the same time, this tribute is a symbol of the exceptional bond our university has with Bermuda."
