Forty-six road accidents last week

Police reported 46 road accidents last week, 11 of which resulted in injury.During the course of last week there were 14 vehicles stolen eight were taken from the Pembroke area, three from Sandys parish and one each from Warwick, Smith's and Hamilton parishes.All of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles. Of the 14 vehicles stolen, two were later recovered.

During the course of last week there were 14 vehicles stolen eight were taken from the Pembroke area, three from Sandys parish and one each from Warwick, Smith's and Hamilton parishes.

All of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles. Of the 14 vehicles stolen, two were later recovered.

Police continue to advise the motoring public to slow down and to use care, caution and courtesy on the Island's roads. Motorists are also urged to use their seat belts at all times and to fasten their helmets while riding and avoid making a third lane.
