A man pleaded guilty to drug importation charges yesterday, the day his trial was to begin, but his co-accused maintained his innocence.

Shannon Tucker, 33, admitted bringing cannabis and ecstasy into Bermuda between a date unknown and January 8 last year.

His lawyer, Elizabeth Christopher, asked that sentencing be adjourned until after the trial of his co-accused Vernon Simons, which is due to begin this morning.
