Men robbed after getting off bus

Two men were robbed by a man wearing a helmet and visor and wielding a knife after they got off a bus in Sandys.

Around 10.50 p.m. on Tuesday two men, a 31-year-old Pembroke man and a 19-year-old Sandys man, got off the bus at the junction of Somerset Road and Scott's Hill Road.

As the two men walked along Somerset Road the man approached them. He was wearing a black helmet with a metallic visor and brandishing a bladed article.

He demanded the men's cellular phones, which they gave to him. A second man then rode up and both suspects escaped on the motorcycle. The victims were not injured.

The main suspect is described as light skinned of medium/thick build, approximately 5ft 10ins tall weighing around 200 lbs, clean shaven with a round face and black hair worn in a ponytail. At the time he was wearing a white T-shirt, light blue jeans, white sneakers and is believed to be aged in his 20s.

The second suspect is described as dark skinned, approximately 6ft tall with a long pointed face. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a dark coloured jacket, blue jeans and is also believed to be aged in his 20s.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234 1010.
