More than 60 accidents reported over the past week

Over the past week there were 24 reported injury collisions and 38 damage only collisions.There were also 24 vehicles reported taken without their owners consent and four people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.Pembroke parish had nine reported stolen vehicles, Sandys parish had four, St. George's and Southampton had three, Paget and Warwick had two and Devonshire had one.

There were also 24 vehicles reported taken without their owners consent and four people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

Pembroke parish had nine reported stolen vehicles, Sandys parish had four, St. George's and Southampton had three, Paget and Warwick had two and Devonshire had one.

Of the 24 vehicles reported stolen, seven were subsequently recovered. The majority of the vehicles removed were auxiliary cycles/motorcycles, with two motocross cycles and one pedal cycle also stolen during the period.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to use care, caution and courtesy on the island's roads.

Those travelling in cars are reminded to use their seat belts at all times and those travelling on motorcycles are reminded to fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.
