Calling all proud motorcycle owners — the Bermuda National Gallery needs your help.

The gallery is inviting anyone with a motorcycle they would like to display to take part in two one-day exhibitions in the grounds of City Hall this month.

The first is tomorrow and will feature classic bikes, while modern motorcycles will be on show a week later on February 28.

The exhibitions are the first the gallery has ever taken outside and tie in with its indoor winter show: Changing Gears — The Art of the Bermuda Motorcycle.

Curator Sophie Cressall said: "The Bermuda National Gallery, due to the constraints of space, has only been able to display 20 bikes in the exhibition.

"However, we realise that there are many more motorcycles of exhibition quality in Bermuda and therefore for the first time ever have arranged two one-day exhibitions outside of the City Hall and Arts Centre — taking the art outside the gallery!

"We are inviting anyone who has a motorcycle that they would like to display to come and be a part of the exhibition and would like to invite the public of Bermuda to come and view these exciting outdoor exhibitions."

She added: "We would love to hear about the bikes coming on display, however we are more than happy for people to just bring their bikes along to the event."

Both outdoor exhibitions take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The gallery is holding a draw sponsored by Cycle Care for anyone taking out or renewing their BNG membership, which starts at $35, before March 15. Two motorcycles — a Sym HD 125cc and a Sym Mio 50cc — are up for grabs. Winners will also receive a customised spray paint design by Robbie Rogers.
