The weather system – predicted to strengthen over the coming days – was east-northeast of the Turks and Caicos Islands yesterday.

It is expected to pass around 200 nautical miles to our west tomorrow morning. The result will be increasingly wet and windy weather over the weekend, with gusts up to 40 knots and high surf on exposed South Shore beaches.

Bermuda Weather Service forecaster Nick Camizzi warned that Kyle could be a strong tropical storm or a hurricane by the time it passes Bermuda. He urged members of the public to listen out for any watches or warnings that the service issues on Kyle, which last night was listed as a "potential threat" to the Island.
