Saltus Grammar to celebrate Founders Day today

Saltus Grammar School will celebrate Founders Day today honouring the school's founder, Samuel Saltus.
The day will begin with morning assembly with Bruce Barritt as a guest speaker followed by flowers being laid on Mr. Saltus' grave with a prayer by the Rev. Nicholas Dill.
After the blessing, Headmaster Ted Staunton will speak on the importance of history and the school song will be sung and the Saltus Jazz Band will play.
After lunch, the traditional old boys versus students cricket match will begin at 2 p.m. and will be followed by the Founder's Day Reception for alumni at which the SGY Class of 2010 will be welcomed to their first function as Saltus alumni.
The Bermuda Islands Pipe Band will perform and prizes will be presented.
